Wedding Dress Preservation Process

Wedding gown cleaning and preservation is a speciality we’ve worked hard to perfect at Press XPress Dry Cleaners.

Wedding preservation to hand clean, press and package your gown ensures it will remains as beautiful as the day you wore it for generations to come. 

We follow the manufacturer’s care instructions, however, if there is no care label we will use our years of experience to clean the gown using the most suitable method we feel appropriate to the gown in question.  If we feel we need more information from the manufacturer we will contact you before proceeding.

The preservation process starts with a thorough inspection of the garment, after locating obvious areas of attention – loose hems or intricate beading – we examine the gown for individual stains. Then, we clean each stain individually, and protect or remove, if we deem it prudent, ornamental beading before the cleaning process. Next, our finishers press and iron the gown by hand, carefully following the designer’s lines. Finally, our dry cleaning personnel evaluate the dress to ensure you’re receiving it in the best possible condition.
